Dr. Lauren Zachary was born and raised in Southern California, where she began her hobbies of swimming and snowboarding. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine before moving to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where she obtained her doctorate degree in 2012. She fell in love with the culture and community of East Tennessee and decided to make this her home. She still visits Southern California often and enjoys the beaches and warm weather. Dr. Zachary is married with one child and several fur babies. She has been working in the Maryville area since 2013 keeping our local pets happy and healthy. She is very excited to be a part of the Southwind Animal Hospital team and to continue the excellent care provided to our clients and their pets.
